policy document AND regulatory document Explanation: Depends on how "tvingande" the styrdokument is. "Policy document" is a broad term that includes general positions taken by an agency or authority. Some of these are simply internal position papers. A "regulatory document," however, is more specifically a document that MUST be followed. |

If the source sentence pertains to management of an organization, the suggestions above could work. If it pertains to public policy, "policy document" might be better. I think English offers many alternative translations of "styrdokument". Recall that Swedish only has one legal system, one governmental tradition, and one greater business community associated with it. IMHO. |
