I tried to use demo of DVX editor, but I do not know how to start. I downloaded user's manual and sample files but still do not understand. When I want to click "New," the icon is gray and I cannot select it. When I want to open the sample file, I cannot choose it because the extension of the sample file is RTF, when I have to choose .dvproj file. However, according to the manual, I am supposed to put the sample file to C:\My Project and I just followed that, but... See more I tried to use demo of DVX editor, but I do not know how to start. Hi Purigorota The DVX Editor version is not very useful. The best way forward would be to apply for a free 30-day evaluation licence. It would also be good idea to join the Yahoo Group at http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/dejavu-l/ Let us know how you get on.
Clarification on DVX editions | Nov 2, 2009 |
DVX has 4 editions with different features: Workgroup, Professional, Standard and Editor. The Editor edition is free, and you cannot create new project with this free version. Need to get to the bottom of the evaluation licence problem | Nov 4, 2009 |
Purigorota wrote: Actually, I got evaluation key from DV support, but it did not work. I do not know why. Something clearly went wrong, and it would be good to get to the bottom of it. What exactly do you mean by "it did not work"? Are you sure you entered the temporary licence code correctly into the corresponding box? Did you get some kind of error message? What do you you see when you start DVX and go to Help > About ... ?
