I was born and raised in Australia, with a very global focus. After graduating from university with a degree in Japanese, I lived and worked in Japan for 18 months. Subsequent business and family opportunities have enabled me to experience 10 years in the UK, and a further four years in Japan. I have been a resident of California since 2006.

My career has primarily been with blue-ribbon Japanese corporations: Sumitomo Corporation, Panasonic, and, for more than 14 years, Mitsubishi Corporation in both the UK and Japan. I have also done consulting work for various Japan-related companies, in Japan and overseas.

My roles have been many and varied, which has given me exposure to a broad range of experiences, and my translation work has covered general topics, also business/general trade, HR, renewable energy, technology and calligraphy. I am interested in working in other specialist areas as well.
