Spanish term
palito porta cenefa o store
Spanish to English
Other
Real Estate
This is from an inventory on a Chilean lease agreement.
Palito porta cenefa o store en ventanal del comedor
The only thing I can think of is a curtain rail for hanging a blind (if "store" is what is known in Spain as "estor")
Am I on the right lines? If there are any Chileans up and about, I would particularly appreciate your comments

I think you are on the right line.
(DRAE)
The idea is "portacenefa" and "portaestor".
I agree with your interpretation and possible rendering, but... I'm not from Chile.
Example in English:
To put up lightweight curtains or a blind without the need for wall fixings, use panel adhesive to stick a timber batten to the plaster above the window, and attach the track to that. Tap the plaster first to make sure it is firmly bonded to the masonry; if it sounds hollow, it may pull away under the combined weight of the batten and curtain. Instructions on how to make a roller blind -
Roller blind kit. This normally consists of wooden roller, brackets, end caps, pins, wooden batten, cord holder and acorn. ...

Comment: "Thanks
I wouldn't go for "batten" though - a batten is just a thin strip of wood, nailed to the wall. It doesn't roll or have any other mechanism to roll up the blind, or curtains couildn't run along it. "

I think you're right
I'm not Chilean, but I do think you're right.
