English to Russian Art/Literary

The context is Sex And The City, where one of the characters ends up having sex with a married man at some wild party.
The story goes:

Miranda hadn't meant to go nuts at the party, to go into what she calls "my Glenn Close imitation"... And then, afterwards, he said: Hey, darling, you'd better not tell my girlfriend... It all came spilling out: the girlfriend whom he lived with for two years, and they were engaged, sort of, but he really didn't know if he wanted to get married, but she was living with him, so what could he do?
And then it was Glenn Close without a rabbit.

It's clearly an allusion to Fatal Attraction where Glenn Close's character, stalking her ex-lover - or rather one night stand - boils his daugter's rabbit. But. The question is how familiar this scene is to the Russian audience (personally I would never have figured it out, if i hadn't looked specifically). How could one get the meaning across without having to go into long explanations or footnotes (although I fear footnotes is what I'll end up with). Mind you, I don't necessarity have to stick to Glenn Close, but I would still much prefer to convey the original meaning rather than skipping the whole thing. Anyway, any suggestions will be appreciated.
