Definition from
Wikipedia:
In video games, particularly in first-person shooters (FPSs), circle strafing is the technique of moving around a target in a circle while facing it. Circle strafing allows a player to fire continuously at an opponent while dodging counterattacks. By rapidly circling the opponent, the player evades the opponent's sights.
Example sentences:
But the ability to turn quickly with your mouse is a good way to counter circle strafing tactics, in my opinion. And it really irritates circle strafers when your always facing them. (breakfastatwar.wordpress.com)
Soldiers are good targets for circle strafing. Unless they rocket jump out of the center of the strafe and shoot at the scout while in the air. (elgms.com)
Of course, Circle Strafing isn't meant to be a free win against a good player. It's meant to crush baddies into dust by taking advantage of the lag inherent in online games. (IGN Entertainment, Inc.)
