The new Mexican generation, born or not in the US, are youngsters younger than 40 years with a growing feminine participation, major pupilage, social leaders, public officers, congress representatives, businessmen and traders, the so called “young cats”, constitute today a changing agent between the “Longing Mexico” where they have no space and the “Gloom and doom Mexico" which lead their exit, their expel.

. despair, desperation, hopelessness, loss of hope, despondency, depression. Gloom and doom appears in Babylon.
desespoir in French and desesperanza are both despair as Aileen mentions. I prefer despondency.
