French term

liaison d'ordre

French to English Tech/Engineering Cinema, Film, TV, Drama

Is this an earpiece worn by a live broadcaster or performer (to receive instructions)?

Literal translation ("order link") not required.

Thanks

talkback (connection / link)

'talkback', also referred to as 'cue' in certain fields — instructions given to artists etc. which do not appear in main the programme audio channel.

I do not specialize in this field, but I did find one reference on Google:

neutral Tony M : Although literally that's what it is, in practice, I don't think this is the usual technical jargon.
