French term

déportés par rapport à

French to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) note d'observation
Good evening,

I'm not sre whether this means "separated from" or not in this context ad there is "regouper" afterwards:

"Il est bien représenté que l'unité électronique avec son boitier sont bien déportés par rapport à l'antenne alors que la présente invention regroupe tous les composants."

It is well represented that the lectronic unit with its casing are separated from each other with respect to the antenna whereas the present invention regroups all the components.

Your help is highly appreciated :)
Thank you

it can't be "separated" after all Further on in the text I have "cette partie de l'implant qui est celle déportée avec un coussin la séparant de la peau sur lequel elle s'appuie. hmmm

remote from

The box of electronic wizardry and the related antenna are remote from each other, i.e. not intimately or even .... remotely ... close to each other, but in two different locations, connected by a wire.

When you have a TV aerial on the roof it is remote from your TV set. If you have and internal "rabbit's ears" aerial sitting on top of your TV, even if it is connected by a cable, it is not remote but regroupé, if you will.

You say: "the electronic unit with its casing are separated FROM EACH OTHER with respect to the antenna whereas the present invention regroups all the components."

Attention: the electronic unit and its casing are NOT separated FROM EACH OTHER; they, as a unit, are REMOTE FROM the antenna. What earthly use would a casing be if it were separate from its contents? Like putting your glasses case in your pocket, putting your glasses on the deck by the side of the pool and then wondering how they managed to get broken when somebody stood on them.

Note from asker:
ah yes thank you for that, my translation is TOTALLY wrong. Your explanations are very clear as always, Much appreciated!

Maybe in the picture it looks like the electronic unit and its case are not in line with the antenna, but the invention describes them as being in line. ''Déporté'' means ''off-centered''.

Thanks Clanola :)
