French term

allant en s'atténuant

dying away

I think this conveys the idea correctly, and although it doesn't on the face of it sound like a very techncial term, I believe you will find it in lots of similar contexts.

You might also consider soemthing with 'damped', but would need to be more careful with that, as the menaing is perhaps more restrictive.

'decaying' is another good possibility here

diminishing

A pseudo-sinusoidal is a sine wave that "flattens out" over time, usually because real systems are always imperfect and energy is lost.

Strictly speaking, the notion of diminishing is already include in the "pseudo" part, but you could emphasize it by adding "diminishing".

It would perhaps be more correct to say "pseudo-sinusoidal pattern".
