This is the technical data sheet for a floor inverted conveyor with trolley. I'm confused by the use twice of the term 'pas', which I initially translated as 'pitch':

Ce phénomène est NORMAL et provient de l'usure apparaissant aux points de contact des axes et des maillons (la chaîne peut être considérée comme étant usée, lorsque la longueur de son pas est supérieure de 3 % à celle du pas de chaîne.)

Comme on ne fait que comparer les deux pas (le pas normal et celui de la chaine usée), je pense qu'il est normal de traduire les deux par "pitch".

FONCTIONNEMENT
La chaîne du convoyeur est entraînée par une chaîne munie de dents reliant une roue moteur dentée et une roue suiveuse dentée. Elle prend appui sur les roues et elle est maintenue en prise par un guide chaîne en acier.
Maybe the 2 "pas" refer to the 2 chains, the driver and the driven? Expert opinions gratefully received.
