French term

domaine de validité

French to English Other Environment & Ecology Humanitarian aid
From an evaluation report on humanitarian aid:

Is 'sphere of validity' right in English? I can't help feeling this is not quite right and that there is a better way of putting it but it escapes me at the moment.

agree Paul Mably (X) : I like "specific strengths" (NB: spelling) and "pros and cons". Sound more like English.

May be regime instead of realm?

All of these factors need to be taken into consideration.

This seems to be what they mean.

sphere of validity

I think "sphere of validity" is great.

Another possibility is:

"Each approach is valid in a specific domain/area."
