French term

le manager relationnel

French to English Social Sciences Human Resources
(From a document on workplace relationships). This is the ideal manager, ones who listens and pays attention to the "human" side of employees. I'm not sure how to translate "relationnel," certainly not "relationship minded..." any ideas? Thanks!

neutral B D Finch : Just too specific to a particular "school".

neutral Julie Barber : there's no suggestion of being a specialist or adopting a method, just a style of management from the context given

Manager with interpersonal relationships skills

or "Manager skilled in interpersonal relationships"

agree suezen : with the second option ... you got there first while I was Googling around!

Thank you, and never mind!
neutral writeaway : impossible to say without seeing the actual French

agree Julie Barber : I don't think that you need interpersonal and relationship together. 'Manager with good interpersonal skills' would do because automatically you're talking about relationships. Also, to Writeaway - the context appears sufficient to me

neutral B D Finch : Agree with juliebarba's comment. Surely **all** managers must have some of said skills?

caring manager/receptive manager/manager with good interpersonal skills

some ideas
The Caring Manager is a relationship manager. They develop personal relationships with their staff and then motivate them because of the friendships they have built. It takes them a little longer to start moving things in the right direction, but once those relationships are built, their department will face low turnover, as well as being very productive. Mother Teresa is an example of a Caring Manager. It is said that she had morphed feet because when the shipment of shoes came in for her and her workers, she was the first to sort through the shoes to find the worst pair for herself. She was very caring and compassionate.
If you are a Caring Manger, then you:
1. Are a logical “How-to” person
2. Are patient and empathetic
3. Highly team oriented
4. Build loyal, long-term relationships

A caring manager knows not only how to care about others but also takes good ... The scope of a manager's caring thus goes beyond employees and self. ...

well if it's just talking about the style of management, I don't see the problem unless I've missed something. Plenty of examples of this style of management :-)
agree B D Finch : Yes, I think that these are much closer to how people in HR departments would actually phrase it.

Relationship Manager

Relationnel can be used as an adjective or a noun
Peer comment(s):

neutral Julie Barber : This isn't the same, your link is to an actual job role. This is simply as description of a persons style of management.

people-oriented manager

From "Test your management style":

"The Integrator"
is people-oriented. True Integrators value social harmony, and thrive on peacemaking and teamwork. The Integrator's pleasantness is unmistakable. Amiable and empathetic, the Integrator is the first to cooperate in helping with tasks or problems. They prefer to work by consensus, instead of taking a strong position against others. Integrators are attracted to people-oriented occupations like Human Resources.
