Du d’infections

FVA French to English Medical Medical: Health Care Ophthalmology, abbreviati
Du d’infections en onco-hématologie, Créteil

This is a CV description of one of the responsibilities of a specialized physician. I suspect that some text may be missing as the text I have came from a PDF. The closest thing I could find was "DU d’infections". But I haven't found any indications of what DU could stand for. I would appreciate your help

CV Can't you ask the client? That is better than guessing!

The U could be "universitaire".
Are this person's initials CC?
philgoddard Apr 10, 2022:
My guess is "directeur d'unité", but I can't find a unit of that name.
None of the three answers so far fits the context, which is a list of responsibilities.
I found several examples of people listing themselves as "DU de" followed by a medical specialty.

The infection

Depend on,if it's title of article (The infection),or a sentence.
But just undestand "infection".
"Du d'infections",it't just a big mistake.
In a sentence you can have in French : "dû à l'infection"(due to infection).
Peer comment(s):

disagree Tony M : This wouldn't make any sense at all in the given context: 'something for which this person is responsible'

disagree Drmanu49 : not a diploma!

du fait d'infections

There are only 2 possibilities here:
either the word "fait" is missing,
or it refers to "diplôme universitaire" Mike mentioned by another linguist.
You need to look at the context: is it about credentials or education & training? or is it a report explaining that something seemed related to infections?
good luck
Peer comment(s):

neutral Tony M : I don't see how you can be so dogmatic, not so sure there is a major error. This wouldn't make any sense at all in the given context: 'something for which this person is responsible'

university diploma

A university diploma is one that is not State-approved, that is not a "diplôme national". See https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diplôme_national_en_France

See:

Alternative: university-specific university

DIU = Diplômes Inter-Universitaire = Inter-University Degree

Un diplôme interuniversitaire (DIU) est un diplôme délivré conjointement par une université française, un grand établissement ou autre autre établissement public (contrairement aux diplômes nationaux qui sont délivrés au nom du ministère).

Drmanu49 doesn't deal with the "Inter-University" part. Also should be "degree" and not "diploma" (my gut feeling is the stronger word, but I have nothing rational to back that up with).

Clarification: should read "My gut feeling is that DEGREE is the stronger word..."

Note about the OCR document you have: you've got "Du", but obviously the OCR software "chewed up the "I" in "DIU", and made the "U" lower case.

Yes, that's what I posted, and what Drmanu49 didn't! - See "Note added at 10 hrs (2022-04-10 11:51:38 GMT)"
agree Anne Schulz : Seems it turned out you were right. // Doesn't have to be an "inter", IMO. DrManu's reference lists "DU" and "DIU" already in the title, and I don't see a reason to exclude "DU" in favor of "DIU".

Thanks Anne! At least someone acknowledges the simple facts and thinks so! I was right at the start, saying that it was a degree, and I was right at the end saying that it was an Inter-University degree.
