Vienas įtakingiausiu Lietuvos kritikų Alfonsas Andriuškevičius savo straipsnyje “Trys tezės apie Žygimantą Augustiną” taip apibūdina dailininko gebėjimus: “O kaip jis moka (gali) tapyti? Kaip 17 a. olandai. Kaip 18 a. prancūzai. Kaip 19 a. prancūzai. Kaip (…) iš Vokietijos kilęs britas, Sigmundo Freudo anūkas Lucianas Freudas...”

But how does he paint (is he able to paint)
It is obvious from the answer that 'kaip' must be translated 'how'. The problem is moka, which I would I suggest is better left out of the English, rather than making it 'how well does he paint', which does not correspond to the context.
