"au fost înregistrate neconformităţi care au dus la refacerea parţială sau totală a lucrării."

Nu stiti la ce fel de neconformitati refera textul? Daca este cu totul imposibil sa aflam tipul lucrarilor, poate ati putea traduce printr-un verb in loc de un substantiv:
"which meant that the work had to be partially or entirely redone"
(nu exista nici un substantiv pentru verbul "to redo")
I think "redone" could apply to many different kinds of work, including construction - if your suspicion is correct. Translating it with a literal "led to" + noun seems problematic to me - I cannot think of many nouns which would work here! And often English does sound more natural with a verb where Romanian would tend to use a noun, so in the absence of any more context, this is probably what I'd do.

Note from asker:
Salut, Peter, şi mulţumesc de ajutor. De fapt, eu am fost rugat să traduc un formular necompletat. Bănuiala mea era legată de nişte traduceri mai vechi şi s-ar putea să fie incorectă; cred că în cazul acesta este potrivită o formulare generală, ca cea sugerată de tine (sau dumneavoastră?! :-D). Eu propun să ne tutuim, ca între colegi. :-) |
