Spanish term

alza

Spanish to English Other Furniture / Household Appliances Babies etc
"La silla crece gracias a un alza extraíble"

Can't give any more context in Spanish. It's on a list of special features of a type of baby seat that can be fitted onto a pushchair. Never really seen alza used in this way as a noun. Any ideas would be a great help, I'm stumped!! Cheers!
