Ivan Chamme Nov 29, 2008:
good luck colleague ! and Salam 'aleykom !
Susan Andrew (asker) Nov 29, 2008:
Thanks for your help all of you, as far as I know the source text is in the original language, that's why it seems so strange, I know the religious meaning of ablution but wasn't sure how that fitted in here! Maybe the heating in hot water option is the right one, I'll carry on looking and see if anyone else comes up with anything.
Gilberto Diaz Castro Nov 29, 2008:
Ablution means to clean by use of water. Traditionally this term is used to refer to the act of cleaning oneself before entering a sacred place, a Mosque for the Islamic believers. Yes, it might be a poor choice of words from who wrote the original text.
Ivan Chamme Nov 29, 2008:
do you know if the source text is already a translation or is it an original text?
maybe it is a bad translation! and ablution is just a wrong choice
im really so interesting in getting the right meaning! im so curious!

by heating in hot water | by hot water immersion

Indica que se sumerge en agua tibia para lograr que se ablande lo suficiente para poder moldearlo. Es un método que también se utiliza para darle forma a otros artículos ortopédicos como formas inmovilizadoras para la mano/muñeca.

neutral Ivan Chamme : this really makes sense, ablution meaning immersing

I do understand that it might have been a poor choice, but this is what the asker was given to work with. As-Salaam Alaikum

agree Richard Boulter : This is a good take. I went hunting and came up with nothing to clear this up. I think using 'ablucion' here was a personal choice of use by the source writer, requiring translation creativity as with an invented word. Best of luck, and happy typing.

thank you Richard, at first I thought Susan´s text might be a bad translation from another language but even in that case it would be very hard to use "ablución" by mistake.
agree Janice Roquero : http://www.alibaba.com/product-free/103190472/Hot_Water_Heat... I would go along with this, hope it helps. Cheers, Janice
