Spanish term

Ausencia Continuada de Venta

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Transport / Transportation / Shipping Online order forms, CRP, Inventory
SPAIN /LATAM. This appears in a list of software strings. As it is capitalised, I'm assuming it is a set phrase, however I can't find any references to the literal translation, or even many for the Spanish string.

Discussion

neilmac (asker) Oct 3, 2021:
@Toni Because it appears in the source string with initial capital letters rather than just "ausencia continuada de venta", I assumed it was some kind of standard phrase/acronym like "CRP (Continuous Replenishment Program)", Efficient Consumer Response (ECR) , Supply Chain Management (SCM) ... and similar expressions. However, it doesn't seem to be one of those. And the people writing (or translating) the strings often seem to capitalise things at random.
Toni Castano Oct 2, 2021:
Hi Neil Any reason not to go literal here? Something like "persistent or continuous lack in sales"?

A continuous lack of sales/decline in sales

Note from asker:
I was using Continuous Absence of Sales (CAS) as a placeholder, but now I prefer Continuous Lack of Sales. It doesn't seem to be a standard thing like CRP etc.

agree Toni Castano : Hi Eileen, also my approach to this query (no context available!). // By the way, "lack", but not "decline", since "decline" means there were "some" sales before :-)
