Bio:Nacido en Cuba en 1949. Me gradué en 1975 de licenciado en Lengua y Literatura en la Universidad de Oriente, basada en la ciudad de Santiago de Cuba y trabajo como investigador desde el año 2005 en el instituto de Cultura del Estado Falcòn, Repùblica Bolivariana de ...de Venezuela.
Bio:I am Italian by birth and citizenship and also a Venezuelan national by naturalization. I am presently living in Colombia but shall soon go back to Venezuela because I love the country and I have lots of work as an official interpreter and translator there. I am a widow... with two daughters and a three years old grand-daughter.
I was a student of the first Translators College in Lausanne and worked at the Italian Congress at the beginning of the European Union when it was the just a Coal and Steel Community, I used to translate radio speeches etc. As far as I can remember I have been always translating. In high school from Latin and Greek and viceversa and now in my four native languages that cannot be mentioned in my profile thanks to PROZ regulations. Maria-Luisa. I have also been an academic professor of Translation and Interpretation SP>ITA AND SP>IT AS WELL AS EN>SP AND SP>EN as well as a Legal translation coordinator and French Culture Professor. Even though I have been living for a long time, since I belong to the Best Generation I am young at heart and my neurons are happy and growing according to the new paradigm. I have always enjoyed being a Professor as well as an interpreter and a translator because I have been able to learn new subjects all the time and I believe, as my teachers used to say, that a translator should be a generalist and that specialization is the enemy of a real translator. I am a strong believer in the fact that an interpreter and translatorshould be viewed as a linguist mediator, a bridge between two frames of mind and not as a machine.
