German term
Hinterhofareal
German to English
Bus/Financial
Business/Commerce (general)
Das Designbüro wurde 1992 in München gegründet und liegt heute in einem weitläufigen Hinterhofareal in XXXXX.
A company that described itself as being located in a "back yard area" would not make a particularly good impression in the English-speaking world, I don't think. Is there a better term I could use?

I left out the -areal bit: maybe "courtyard complex" or some such estate agent speak.
