Spanish term

prospecto plegado

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Manufacturing Cartoning machine
Description of the machine

A cartoning machine which picks a single piece from stack of folded carton and erects it, fills with a product or bag of products or number of products horizontally through an open end and closes by tucking the end flaps of the carton or applying glue or adhesive.

I have to translate the following list of components:

Cinta alimentación estuches:
Carga mínima estuches (B1)
Avance cinta estuches (S52)
Grupo prospecto plegado:
Lectura prospecto (B30)
Carga mínima prospectos (B3)
Control presencia prospecto (B2)
Grupo de transporte estuches
Lectura estuches (B31)

I think that in this context, "prospecto" means the piece of folded card that will become the carton, but I can't think of the right word to describe it in English.

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

I agree with patinba.

menos espacio.

PIL? Are drugs being packaged, because a "prospecto" is a Patient Information Leaflet?

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thank you all. You were right, patinba, it was for a medical company so it was the leaflet that was being folded before being inserted into the box."
