Sigo con la traducción de unos programas de estudios de un instituto universitario venezolano. En la asignatura llamada Trazados Usuales de Base, dice:
"Introducción
- Instrumentos de medida y modo de usarlos. **Trazado de base** (perpendiculares, paralelas, ángulos, bisectrices, división de segmentos de rectas y de círculos, empalmes), circunsferencia, tangentes, polígonos regulares, curvas técnicas (elipse, parábola, hipérbola, hélice)
¿Será algo así como "basic drawing"?

basic tracing
Literal translation. Tracing uses preformed shapes, unlike drawing which is usually freehand.
