adjustment lever
Alavanca de ajuste: This directly translates to "adjustment lever" and is suitable for the context of adjusting the taper on a clipper.
Controle de graduação: This means "graduation control" and implies a more nuanced adjustment, which also fits the context.
Ajuste de comprimento: This translates to "length adjustment" and focuses on the outcome of using the taper lever.
