sama dengan:
The amount of arable land needed in 2030 is equal to more than *the amount of arable land* of France and Spain

arable land = lahan laik tanam; yang cocok untuk ditanami

Maka: Luas lahan laik tanam yang diperlukan [untuk biofuel] di tahun 2030 lebih luas daripada gabungan lahan laik tanam di Perancis dan Spanyol....

Padanan lahan laik tanam adalah lahan budidaya; akan tetapi, usaha pertambakan udang/ikan juga menggunakan istilah lahan budidaya untuk tambak; jadi, istilah terakhir ini kurang spesifik untuk pertanian.
