When the application issues a draw request, e.g., comprising an image, towards the extra display area 1170 (2040), the platform manager receives 1130 the draw request and directs it to the display function manager 1135 (2050). the display function manager 1135 enhances the image that gets displayed on the extra display area 1170 (2060). If the platform manager 1130 receives pause event (2070), then it informs the display function manager 1135 that rejects further draw request from the application until a resume display event is further received (2080).
