This expression seems to be used, and not only on sites translated from French!

I think you have to change the construction e.g. "Come and sample the local culinary delights".

The problem, as Phil mentioned, is that "craftsMEN" is longer PC, unless you know for sure that they are all men, and "culinary artisans" or "culinary crafts people" are not really expressions that appear in normal English.
