French term

caisses automatiques

French to English Bus/Financial Transport / Transportation / Shipping money transport procedure
"... les prestations portant sur les automates bancaires ou les caisses automatiques ..."
These are services performed by the crew of an armored money-transport vehicle. On the front of some banks there is a kind of "drop" where customers can deposit valuables even when the bank is closed. Perhaps this is the concept.
Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (1): Julie Barber

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

agree Ben Gaia : ATM is used in NZ without anyone ever knowing what it stands for. The thing just is an ATM.

automated/secure drop-off points

ATMs are usually where current account holders can withdraw cash or deposit cheques, but it sounds like this is a slightly different context (i.e., security personnel deliveries).

I agree with Bourth, but I think this would be a better translation:

agree MatthewLaSon : "automated cashier terminals" I think you are right. A "caisse" is a machine used to peform monetary transactions. I don't how it could have another meaning here.

pay machines

Don't know if it works in your context, but the first thing "caisse automatique" brings to mind is the pay machines in underground carparks, where you pay the exorbitant amounts it takes for Paris parking, or at airports.

agree Alan Tolerton : Wow! That is some comprehensive response! From the appearance of both terms on the site of a reputable e-payment company [http://www.finances.gouv.fr/directions_services/cedef/revues...] I would support your suggestions; default "ticket mach."
