Spanish term
sobre (here)
Spanish to English
Bus/Financial
Accounting
Contract disclaimer
SPAIN. The use of "sobre" in what seems to otherwise be a standard contractual/disclaimer type phrase seems rather odd.
"El comprador de somete a los Tribunales de Madrid aunque el pago se haga contra giros, ***sobre""" la plaza del comprador."
"El comprador de somete a los Tribunales de Madrid aunque el pago se haga contra giros, ***sobre""" la plaza del comprador."

Note from asker:
I understand "drawn on", but "locality" seems rather odd to me - "jurisdiction" seems to make more sense. Then again, as I've mentioned before, I'm no financial wizard. |
Maybe it's "plaza" that's confusing me. If the original was: ""giros sobre la cuenta del comprador" I wouldn't have blinked twice. |

Comment: "I used "drawn on the buyer's jurisdiction" in the end. Thanks to everyone for the help on this one :-)"
