I think "mirada" refers here not to the actual fact of viewing or looking at the collections but to a way of looking at them, and that it really means something like "perspective": "one possible perspective on the collections". You could actually say "one of the possible ways of looking at the collections" or "one possible way of looking at the collections"; that would be OK, I think. A "mirada" is a view from a particular point of view.
