deep cycle charger with floating/trickle charge mode

Once the battery is charged, the charger is usually turned off and turns back on when the the charge drops below a certain point. Alternatively, many chargers have a trickle charge option which continues to apply a small charge even when the battery is fully charged. This is supposed to keep the battery healthy, but uses more electricity.

A deep-cycle battery is designed to be totally discharged "a fondo" repeatedly and delivers steady current over a loonger period of time than a regulat battery that delivers a high charge over a few seconds.
