Spanish term
cada toro tiene su lidia
Spanish to English
Bus/Financial
Management
This comes in a text about management, in a section explaining that leadership qualities must be flexible and adapt to the situation, and then gives this phrase as an example. Does anyone know of an equivalent in English?
Text:
"Los mejores resultados los consiguen aquellas personas que saben adaptar su estilo de dirección en cada momento a las circunstancias a las que se enfrentan (cada toro tiene su lidia), ..."

different strokes for different folks
this goes well with 'flexibility' and 'adapting oneself to each situation'.

Besides, it is a saying - as the original phrase is.

Here is a good explanation of what the phrase means:

A literal translation won't work in English, and you'll probably have to use a more direct version. This is just one idea.

I can't think of an idiomatic equivalent, so this may work!

can't think of anything more catchy at the moment - may be more inspired after some food!

a horse for every course
Example:
Global fragmentation of the music business has meant there's now ***a horse for every course*** and it's more possible to reach a target audience with your music.

in this context it would mean that the manager can perform equally well, whatever the conditions are which he is dealing with.

1 day 2 hrs
each bull must be fought differently by the matador
I thought of looking for an equivalent in English (referred to animals, bronco busting for ex.) but haven't thought of any one. This refers to how a matador has a few seconds in the ring to know exactly how a bull uses its horns, how it will respond to the cape, etc. Perhaps a better way to phrase it can be found.

César's answer is the same (to explain), but I think it doesn't put the emphasis on how impt it is for a manager to be able to size up the people they work with and know how best to tackle each individual's psychology.
