Tender document
This comes from a Mexican tender document.
"El tramo de la ruta A-B tiene una longitud aproximada de 13 kilómetros, el cual inicia su trazo hacia el sur oriente a la altura de la estación X."
I'm wondering whether 'a la altura de' in this case could be as literal as 'on the same latitude as', or whether there is a more general translation.
Any suggestions much appreciated.
TIA
Vicky

More context would help. What are you talking about? A road? A railway line? Either way, the above should work. As far as I am concerned, it's that simple here. Don't put latitude if it doesn't include this in the text.
