Neméně významná je přítomnost arzénu v exhalacích z koksárenských baterií. Obsluha na horním podlaží a v bezprostřední blízkosti baterií je totiž vystavena zpravidla značnému účinku tepla, škodlivých plynů a prachu. Avšak kancerogenní vlastnosti mají tam nejen mnohé přítomné látky, jako například známý uhlovodík 3,4-benzpyren, ale i arzén; o jeho množstevní přítomnosti nám však zatím není ničeho známo. V ovzduší průmyslových měst je arzén obsažen v průměrném množství 0,00002 mg/m³, ve Velké Británii až 0,00013 mg/m³. 		Übersetzung - Englisch
No less significant is the presence of arsenic in emissions from coke-oven batteries.
