Is anyone selling Office 2000 by any chance? I've formatted my computer and can't seem to be able to re-install it. I've tried all sorts but basically, the CD installs everything OK and then I can't launch any of the applications or open any document. Any idea what this could be related to?? Urgent help required or new CD! Thanks!!

If the application installs without errors, it is extremely unlikely that the CD is at fault.
So I would look for other (software-related) errors.

Quand vous avez installé votre office tout s'est bien déroulé? Si j'étiais à votre place, j'irais dans mon panneau de configuration pour voir si le logiciel est bien installé. Ces bibittes dont on ne peut se passer ont souvent de vilains caprices.

I know of compatibility issues if the OS is Windows XP with SP2 installed and Office 2000 has not been updated.
Try going to Microsoft Update web site and go through the procedures. Office 2000 has a lot of updates, especially security related.

I'm afraid I've already tried repairing/un/reinstalling...everything really. I get the following error messages when trying to open:
Outlook: Problem with installation. Try restarting or reinstall
Access: Can't find language dll
and Excel and Word just don't launch...
I'm not entirely sure whether it could be the CD or not. I've had loads of trouble trying to install it after formatting. Today I tried formatting and installing Office straight away and it went fine until I couldn't launch the applications. I don't know what kinda of conflict it could be...HELP! Or better: anyone can sell me their old Office 2000 for cheap money? I work with Win Me so if I don't want to upgrade to Win XP and Office 2003, that's my only solution...THANK YOU!!! ▲ Collapse
