Hello, has anyone experienced problems when opening zipped ASP files? My Windows XP refuses me access to a number of these files. I have tried switching off my firewall, but that did not help. Any suggestions?

Hi Kees,
What do you mean by zipped? You try to open them from within Winzip, by doubleclicking, while they haven't been unzipped yet? In that case, why?
Apart from that, what is your intention with opening the ASP files?
You want to open them in Internet Explorer, just to view them?
Or you want to open them with a CAT tool, to translate them?
Did you try unzipping the folder structure, and open a file from within Notepad or MSIE, or TagEditor?
What is the exact error message you get from Windows?
/Jan

You'll want to switch off your virus scanner as well. That should be the most likely culprit.

hello
I see several people have problems opening zipped files, the best way to solve this is to go to internet browser and type winzip, you will be downloading a program that for a short time will be free, and will put an icon on your desktop called winzip.exe which will unzip files after a zipped file is downloaded and opened.

Kees, read my questions above, and post your feedback here. It's not clear to me exactly what you're trying to do...

Hello Jan, I have an unzip program on my computer, before this program could start unzipping, Windows XP would inferfere and stop the unzip process. Yesterday afternoon the Microsoft helpdesk in the Netherlands helped me solve the problem. I was able to unzip my ASP files.
Thank you for your suggestions.
