Need more context, really, but I worked for a company that had 'projektägare' which was the person in charge who assigned the projektledare and so forth. This is 'project owner', and is widely in use, though I have always had grammatical reservations about the term. Similarly, I've seen some, as you guess, trendy usage as in 'deal owner' as well.
