Bio
Who are you really?
Richard Brown BA (Cantab) DipTrans (IoL).

What does that mean?
It means I have a degree from Cambridge - in this case, first class honours in Modern and Medieval Languages - and that I'm qualified as a translator by the Chartered Institute of Linguists.

That might be impressive on paper, but what do you actually know about business communication in the real world?
Well, I was a co-founder of the e-business PlayBrighter Ltd, which makes educational games for schools.

I've got a good record of writing proposals for grants and tenders, from local government agencies and business partners.

I've also written for trade journals.

Any other tricks?
Well, I've written educational materials based on the UK secondary education system - mostly question-and-answer sets for the aforementioned educational games.

What file types can you handle?
MS Office, Trados, LibreOffice, TeX.
