British by birth, I grew up and was educated in France from the age of 7 to the age of 17, during which time I studied the American curriculm for English and History but the French curriculum for everything else.

I'm familiar with English and American turns of phrase and spellings and have worked as a proofreader for medical articles.

I've a 2:1 in psychology and a 2:1 in French, as well as a PgDip in conference and simultaneous interpreting and translation (French-English / English-French) as I was considered bilingual.

I've been a full time sound engineer for the past 13 years, recording voice over work and recording choirs and bands as well as touring and currently run my own recording company (Komodo Recordings) specialising in location recording for bands, choirs and live shows and mastering business called MSB Mastering

Due to helpful feedback on their products, I'm now a beta tester for Hofa, an innovative company making software for today's discerning audio professional.

I also subtitle and close caption shows, films and documentaries for Amara (www.amara.org), the most interesting of which was a film called "Higher Ground: Voices of Contemporary Gospel Music".

I've a keen interest in social matters, politics, equality, morality, religion, logic and sports and love debating and writing letters to newspapers challenging accepted views.

I'm married to a fantastic woman who's so amazing, she has her own website (Amazing Jane), and I'm going to be a father in Dec 2015 and can't wait.
