problems with Swift and Windows 8

Hi, I've just bought a new laptop with Windows 8 on it and Swift v6 does run on it, except for one thing: the VFS-frames (film reel) don't follow the clip. There are a lot of black frames, and frames that belong in following scenes. As a result, I can't use the Shift-7 and Shift-9 commands to skip to previous and next shot changes. Does anyone have the same problem or know of a solution?
