French term

interet de l'operation

Non-PRO French to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Interet de l'operation pour la societe beneficaire des apports.

I can't seem to come up with anything for this other than the literal 'Interest of the operation to the company benefitting from the contribution' Any ideas?

self-interest / the (potential) benefit to the company

Interesting this, this is one of the translations put forward by the Robert Collins dictionary. I always try to avoid "interest"... Try the glossary.
Note from asker:
Thanks. My brain wasn't working well last night, but I couldn't use 'interest'

agree AllegroTrans : I think it just means "the benfit/advantage to the company" - "self interest" deosn't sound right!

purpose of the transaction

I see nothing wrong with the literal translation, but I am not a English native so I cannot be sure. Here is an alternative.
Peer comment(s):

disagree AllegroTrans : "purpose" surely would be "objet" or "but" here
