¡Hola a todos! Estoy traduciendo un certificado analítico de la Facultada de Derecho de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario (Argentina) que se va a entregar en una universidad de Inglaterra y tengo problemas para encontrar un equivalente a una inscripción que se ubica debajo de un sello y una firma que es DIRECTOR DPTO. ALUMNADO. Pensé en poner STUDENT BODY DIRECTOR, pero no me cuadra y no lo encontré por ningún lado. Aparte el STUDENT BODY o STUDENT COUNCIL es una actividad extracurricular de las escuelas primarias y secundarias no de las universidades.

I read your question and context and I think you are close to a good translation. You only have to change “Body” for “Department”. (By the way, I agree about all that you say about “Body” )
For my experience in US related with educational institutions and universities, here everybody talks about “Department”
About “Alumnado”, there are different terms used depending of the level of the studends, but an easy translation is: “Student”
And in universities and colleges, normally, the responsible of the department is named: “Director”. No complicated names! No complicated translations! (In some cases, they use the term “Dean”, but this term has also other meanings. Everybody knows the meaning of “Director”).
You are talking about a “Director” in a university and he/she is the responsible of the students. My suggestion:
1) “Student Department Director”
2) “Director of the Student Department”
When they receive your translation, everybody will understand what you are saying...

A student body president is actually a student and has nothing to do with "departamento alumnado". A student would not be affixing his/her signature and seal to a legal document.

Ahí explica qué es el departamento de alumnado, su director para la facultad que muestra éste link, etc. Tomando esto en cuenta podrías utlitizar "PRINCIPAL" que es el término comunmente empleado para DIRECTOR en el ámbito educativo. Suerte!
