* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

@ Asker OK, in that later instance, it is pretty clear that it must indeed be a wall socket; but be wary all the same in case it doesn't necessarily have the same meaning in both places!

Further down is another sentence related to receptacles:

Receptacles installed in a damp or wet location shall be suitable for the location.

@ Asker Do note that without more context, it is hard to be quite sure just what they mean here. In AE, a 'receptacle' is specifically a FEMALE socket — but there is no way we can tell just from the source text provided whether this is talking about a female wall-mounted power socket oulet (the usual meaning) OR the cable-mounted female socket used for connecting the power input to an appliance (which is another meaning of 'receptacle' in AE that is generally less familiar to European readers).
