Discussion

Wilsonn Perez Reyes Aug 19, 2022:
NO ESTOY DE ACUERDO En un documento fiscal de México aparece lo siguiente (en columnas):
CONCEPTO DE PAGO - CODIGO - DESCRIPCION - IMPORTE

Por lo tanto no puede ser "descripción". Propongo: Payment Item
Robert Carter Mar 21, 2017:
I agree with Joshua, this is simply a field to be filled out on the form where you enter the item for which you are making the payment, in this case, it's income tax for legal entities.
Joshua Parker Mar 20, 2017:
With the context you've provided, I stand by my original suggestion. It simply means that the ISR PERSONAS MORALES is the name of the thing that needs to be paid.
Paul García (asker) Mar 20, 2017:
Under the heading "Impuestos que declara:" are the categories "Concepto de pago", "A cargo:", "Cantidad a cargo", and "Cantidad a pagar".
In answer to "Concepto de pago", "ISR PERSONAS MORALES" is filled in.
The remaining three categories have the same peso amount filled in.
Sergio Kot Mar 20, 2017:
@María Eugenia Wachtendorff I find it difficult to believe that "concepto de pago"appears as is, devoid of any context.
Unless the original reads "en concepto de pago", then the topic of the question should be Philosophy...
I guess you meant "En concepto de pago." No more context, of course :)
philgoddard Mar 20, 2017:

payment description

The 'concepto de pago' refers to what exactly is being paid for. I don't think English has an exact term for this (payment details, reference, description... product or service paid for...)
Without more context, I can't be 100% sure this is the case here, but in my experience that's what it usually refers to.

we really would need more context but that would be my reading of this bare

might be "terms of payment" but without more context impossible to say
