Thank you for any help with this little phrase:
Context:
J'ai même pensé à aller aux urgences mais étant sûre qu'ils allaient me garder, ne fût-ce qu'en observation et je ne voulais pas Je me suis réveillée dans la nuir (+/- 19h après l'injection) j'ai passé +/- 4 heures à avoir des douleurs terribles dans le bras, l'aisselle, irradiant en pinces autour de mon thorax.

I was loathe to go for a "dictionary translation", but then I saw that the example referred to a pain sensation.
I suppose you could also use something less literal like "tightening around my chest" for the "en pinces" part.

: That's certainly how I interpret it, seeing 'pinces' as 'pincements' or 'pinçage' (think 'tomatoes').
