2.1 Results Overview
As at the valuation date (December 31, 2023), we have estimated the technical reserves and evaluated the technical performance of GIG Parent. The overall results and conclusions are summarized in this section, while the detailed calculations, assumptions, methodologies, and results are listed throughout the report including the appendices.
The information received under each area was consistent and the data was sufficient to perform our analysis. Any adjustments to the data (if any) are listed in the Data section and all transformations are done based on the mappings highlighted. We did not generate or recalculate any data point ourselves from the core systems, under the assumption that the received data is accurate and true. GIG Parent has the ultimate responsibility and ownership of the data being sent to us for this purpose.


3.8.3 Data Processing, Implementation Guidelines and Mappings
GIG Parent data is being processed on different phases as follows:
 Local data are extracted from the IT Core system (along with any TPA data provided)
 A Local Data Validator system is in place to filter, cleans and transform the data into a unified format
 The local outputs are uploaded to a central Data Validator system for additional checks, further cleansing, new mapping, and transformations (into actuarial classes, IFRS 17 portfolios/groups, and Reporting segments)
 A comprehensive mapping tool is provided to link all systems (through unique identifiers)
 The central model outputs are finally used for reserving, allocations, financial reporting, and all future processes (in a unified format across GIG group)
