Note from asker:
I am inclined to go with the word 'barge'. What do you think? |

: The translation is correct, but the smuggling is incidental and irrelevant. This link may help clarify: https://alzawraapaper.com/النقل-تكشف-عن-أسباب-رفع-%A

Discussion
When you post a question, please be generous with the information you provide. It is an investment that you make in your own question. Withholding critical information helps no one. The dearth of information keeps us going on a wild goose chase for no good reason. In the end, what you receive is no more than tentative guesses based on shreds of information that we try to stitch together like detectives.
For now, at least, it's a barge.

So if it were a barge, why didn't they call it بارجة?
Bottom line: You may find it useful to check with the client/agency whether the vessel in question is for the transport of fluids or not. If it is, I would use "tanker." Otherwise, "barge."
