I have the following translation & pronunciation, so I only need the same sentence, but written with ALL diacritics everywhere (not just some & not just on some parts of a word).
تغيرت لغةُ البلد
Tagheyaret lughatu al-balad.
Explanations in English, please! Except for any examples mentioned, which should also have ALL diacritics.)
Thanks.

1.yes, 4 fathas should be applied and hence /taghayarat/ is the most correct version.
2. As for balad, as mentioned earlier, you have a choice of either to say /balad/ or /baladi/. But of course /baladi/ is more correct for pronunciation purposes.

Note from asker:
1. I listed the pronunciation TAGHEYARET (exactly as it has been given to me by an Arabic native speaker before). However, you used 4 FATHA signs in this word, which makes it rather TAGHAYARAT. So which one is the correct pronunciation? 2. At the end of AL-BALAD you wrote a KASRA (i) under the DAL (d). So that directs the speaker of this word to pronounce it rather as AL-BALADI, doesn't it? So which pronunciation is more correct: al-balad OR al-baladi? |
