English term

bank order

English to Japanese Bus/Financial Finance (general)
Does "bank order" mean "banker's order" ("銀行為替" in Japanese) ?

The context is as follows:
Pays advances that the traveler requested in this self-service scenario by cash, check, or bank order automatically once the request has been approved.

KathyT May 25, 2005:
Hard to say - that's _probably_ what it means...is your source text referring to a specific country?

OED で banker's order = "an instruction to a bank to make payments of a stated sum at regular intervals" となっています。
