Kathyさんの「切り替える」でもちろんいいのですが、参考までに敢えて異論を挟めば、ゲームに限らず一般に「トグルする」が慣用されていると思います。Hoggさんの仰るとおり、PC歴25年の経験を振り返ると、「トグル」という言葉は最初、「トグルスイッチ」または「トグルボタン」で覚えたと記憶しています。ただし、「トグルスイッチを(で)切り替える」とか「トグルボタンを(で)切り替える」という、いわば『正規表現』に拘束された期間は短く、瞬く間に「トグル」、「トグルする」が慣用されるようになったのではないでしょうか。

切り替える
"toggle back and forth" usually means to change back and forth (between screens or between settings, etc.).
I have never heard this expression used as jargon for "gamer."

In reponse to your note, cinefil-san:
No, there doesn't _have to_ be a "toggle key/button" involved, although that may be how the expression began.
One example: if you go to your "My ProZ Profile" and check the section on Rates in your profile, you will see that it says "Toggle rates visibility." This simply means you can click to 切り替え whether you want to make your rates public or not, but there is no 専門的 "button" involved, just a click of your mouse.
The same applies when toggling or switching between screens using the bottom task bar on your monitor display, or between programs, settings etc.
